Prime Minister receives IFIMES Person of the Year award for 2010
ZAGREB, Jan 20 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor met at government headquarters on Thursday a delegation of the International Institute for Middle East and Balkan Studies (IFIMES), who presented her with the Person of the Year Award 2010.
IFIMES gives Person of the Year awards to individuals whose work has marked the previous year.
IFIMES Council chair Craig T. Smith said PM Kosor had launched positive processes in Croatia and the entire region, and that the fight against organised crime and corruption would not be stopped by anyone ever again.
Smith also said that Croatia's Euro-Atlantic integration could serve as an example to the countries in the region.
He called on PM Kosor to visit IFIMES, which is based in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana, which she accepted.
IFIMES analyses crisis situations and actions aimed at preventing possible conflicts, focusing on the Middle East and the Balkans.
