Uoči 15. siječnja, obljetnice međunarodnog priznanja Republike Hrvatske, predsjednica Vlade Republike Hrvatske Jadranka Kosor sastala se danas u Banskim dvorima s predstavnicima Hrvatskog društva logoraša srpskih koncentracijskih logora.

ZAGREB, Jan 14 (Hina) - Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor met with former prisoners of Serb-run concentration camps on Friday ahead of the 19th anniversary of international recognition of Croatia as an independent state, which is observed on January 15.

The former camp inmates presented the Prime Minister with an award in recognition of everything she had done for them. Kosor said that the people who had defended Croatia during the 1991-1995 war and the former prisoners of war deserved the greatest credit for the creation of the independent and democratic Croatia.

Kosor said that Croatia was now struggling to achieve its second strategic goal, which was set by the first President of Croatia, Franjo Tudjman -- to join the European Union.

The former camp inmates again expressed their full support to the Prime Minister in her fight for the economic recovery of the country, in combating corruption and in achieving the goal for which they had made sacrifices during their detention in prisoner of war camps, which is independent Croatia as a member of the European Union.
