Prime Minister receives outgoing Hungarian ambassador

ZAGREB, Sept 9 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Thursday received Hungarian Ambassador to Zagreb, Peter Gyoerkoes on a farewell visit to thank him for cooperation and contribution to the enhancement of the relations between Croatia and Hungary.

Kosor and the outgoing ambassador discussed a pace of Croatia's European Union accession negotiations and the remaining work to be done to close the negotiating areas on Competition Policy and on Judiciary and Fundamental Rights.

The two officials expressed hope that Croatia would sign the accession treaty during the forthcoming Hungarian presidency of the EU and soon become the 28th member of the European bloc.

Gyoerkoes congratulated Kosor on the success in steering the government over the past year.
