Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration does administrative and other tasks related to: development and improvement of the Republic of Croatia relations with other countries, international organizations and other international law and relations entities; cooperation with international organizations and other forms of international cooperation between the countries; monitoring of the development of the international economic relations; protection of the rights and interests of the Republic of Croatia and its citizens living or staying abroad; setting up, maintaining an promotion of relations with Croatian emigrants and minorities and with their organizations in foreign countries; talks and negotiations with foreign countries representatives, international organizations and other international law and relations entities; preparation, signing and execution of international treaties; stimulation of and helping with cooperation of the government bodies with foreign countries in the area of politics, economy, culture, science and others; maintenance and development of relations with foreign countries missions and international organizations in the Republic of Croatia, as well as with their consulates; monitoring the development and participating in discussions about international public and private law in the country and abroad; providing information for the institutions and bodies of foreign countries, international organizations and international public about the state of affairs in the Republic of Croatia, as well as with other issues of importance for the Republic of Croatia.
