Kosor was received by Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in his residence San Martino in Arcore, 20 km northeast of Milan.

After the talks, Kosor and Berlusconi are expected to visit the location of a future private university, Vila Garnetto, in Lesmo.

This is the first meeting of the two countries' prime ministers since Kosor stepped into office.

Kosor and Berlusconi are expected to address the press at the end of the programme of Kosor's visit to Italy.
