Ministry of the Interior does administrative and other tasks related to: finding and taking custody of perpetrators of a criminal offence and their delivery to the responsible authorities; keeping of the public order and peace and protection of given persons, buildings and spaces; carrying out of criminological and related technical tasks and expertize; ensuring the traffic safety on the roads; monitoring the state borders; movement and stay of foreigners and their admission; travel papers for crossing the state borders; holding of public gatherings; citizenship; issuing of personal ID cards, registration of home addresses and places of residence of citizens;issuing of driver's licence permits and registration of motorized vehicles; acquisition, keeping and carrying of arms and ammunition; explosives; provision of necessary help to eliminate the effects of general danger caused by natural catastrophe and epidemics; fire protection tasks; civil protection tasks; firemen tasks; protecting the Constitutional order; special police force tasks; monitoring the functioning of the security companies.
