It also does administrative and other tasks related to: education plans and programmes; textbooks, regulations, standards etc. for educational work; development of the educational system; professional education and development of pre-school teachers, teachers and professors; standards for pupils; inspection and professional and pedagogic supervision; setting up and supervision of conformity to the law of institutions and ensuring the financial and material prerequisites for education and pedagogic upbringing; qualification of children, youth and adults for acquisition of technical knowledge and skills; activities of non-governmental organization in the area of education and pedagogic upbringing.
