The Sunday nearest to May 15 is the Day of Remembrance of Croatia's fallen in the fight for freedom and independence. It should be observed in an appropriate and dignified manner by paying respects to those who gave their lives for freedom and independence.

The Day of the Croatian Sabor - in remembrance of May 30, 1990, when the first freely-elected Croatian Sabor was constituted, as well as to pay tribute to the historic role of the Croatian Sabor in preserving Croatian statehood over many centuries. It should be observed in an appropriate and dignified manner at the ceremonial session of the Croatian Sabor.
